The Sunflower Festivals are coming up soon and they are a must see every August-September. Here are a few farms close by where you can spend an afternoon walking through the fields and snapping photos.

Sterino Farms is both a produce stand and farm. Every September they have a field of sunflowers available to walk through, snap photos, and cut your own sunflowers to take home. You can walk through the fields for FREE and cut three sunflowers for $5 to take home. They also have pre-cut sunflowers available for purchase. Watch their Facebook page for updates on when the sunflowers will be available.

Maris Farms is the largest farm in our area and offers extensive activities for the entire family! If you are looking for a spot with more than just fields of flowers, then this is your spot. Maris Farms has a huge playground, apple cannons, slides, animals, a tractor ride and more. The Sunflower Festival will be running on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays August 5th – 21st. Tickets into the farm for the Sunflower Festival are $18-20 per person. You can take home sunflowers for $3 per stem.

Schilter Family Farm is the closest farm to base and has a new sunflower experience this year. The Sunflower Experience will be held for two weekends: September 9th – 11th and September 16th – 18th. Admission includes a wagon ride, one sunflower per person (u-cut), and access to the playground and bounce pillow for the kids. Food will be available for purchase on site. Tickets range from $8-22 per person. Purchase your tickets online to save money versus more expensive pricing at the gate.
