On this R.E.D. Friday let’s remember everyone deployed and mark our calendars for Veterans Day coming up in just six days. We’ve come up with a list of things you can do to honor and serve the military community on any R.E.D. Friday or even on Veterans Day.

  1. Mark your calendar for Thursday, November 11th, 2021 and encourage others to do the same.
  2. Read up on tips for how to properly display the flag, then get your flag ready!
  3. Buy and wear a R.E.D. Friday shirt. If you don’t have a budget for an official R.E.D Friday shirt, wear anything red from your closet.
  4. Send a service member an image in your R.E.D. Friday shirt, or post it to social media.
  5. Write a letter to someone currently deployed, Soldiers Angels can help.
  6. Register to volunteer at a VA hospital.
  7. Send a care package to a deployed service member.
  8. Shop Veteran Owned brands and businesses.
  9. Honor a Veteran by sharing their story and image on your social media, blog, etc.
  10. Donate money to support, services and appreciation for our service members.
  11. Ask a Veteran about their service, and listen.
  12. Volunteer at a Veterans service organization.
  13. Invite a veteran or a military family to join you outdoors. Explore a national park — go for a walk– walk your pets, etc.
  14. Thank a Veteran for their service, with a meaningful handshake while out and about.
